firstly welcome to my little shop; glad you made it!

I'm Phil Jenkins and I am the designer and inspiration behind Muddy Ground; a small but growing range of original design bicycle and Volkswagen Campervan t-shirts. I started out doing the T2 split screen camper as like a lot of people I've always wanted one! The bike themed ones I do because the love of my life is mountain biking - at least once a week I'm out and about getting muddy in the wonderful Surrey Hills. I started doing the t-shirts as at the time there was little available in the shops that took my fancy, so why not do my own? I was also inspired by Zoe Williams at VW Campervan Sales who was very supportive of my original designs, so I've a lot of thanks for her initial help.

All of my t-shirts are drawn by my own fair hand, always whilst relaxed in a coffee shop, sometimes by pencil onto paper, but more often than not by child's crayon - this encourages a simplicity and innocence of design. In other words, what with the use of loud base colour t-shirts, an eye catching and appealing product. They are then sent to my printer's in Leicester, where the screens are made. The t-shirts are then screen printed by hand in very small batches of around 30. This keeps things flexible and means that my t-shirts remain exclusive.
